The past holiday season has been a busy time for many travelers. especially those who travel by plane But no one has had a worse travel problem than a one-year-old puppy abandoned by his owner at Des Moines Airport last week.

Although it was a heartbreaking situation. But this poor dog is in good hands — and will be looking for a new home soon.
The Animal Rescue League of Iowa reported that on Dec. 29, a 1-year-old dog named Allie was found tied up outside Des Moines International Airport.
Dog owners reportedly tried to board a plane with the dog. but no kennel Then the owner left the airport with the dog. Returned alone and boarded the plane. Later, Allie is found outside the airport.

According to the Daily Mail, the owner is Bigsen Charles, 24, who said he left the dog behind so he could fly to New Jersey. “I’ve checked in and don’t want to miss my flight,” he told the Daily Mail. “I thought if I paid for a dog on a plane They would have given her a kennel. I don’t know, you have to bring it yourself.”

Charles claimed he wanted someone to adopt the dog. but can’t manage “I knew someone would take it,” he said.
according to today’s report An arrest warrant was issued and Allie was handed over to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa. But dogs have good hearts.

“(She) is very friendly and loves everyone. Since the airport staff came out Brought her a blanket, stayed with her, loved her, paid attention until our animal service staff came out to receive her,” ARL CEO Tom Colvin told TODAY. “She was so sweet.”
Colvin also added that he was thankful that Allie didn’t wait long outside. And avoid the extreme cold weather a few days ago.

He also said that soon Allie will find Allie, soon she will be adopted. and started looking for a permanent home.

“Once Allie has had her neutered surgery, microchips and other necessary veterinary services, she will be ready for adoption,” ARL told Today.
An investigation into the case is still underway. In Iowa, abandonment of animals is a felony. It carries a fine of at least $105 and a maximum sentence of two years in prison.

It is tragic that anyone abandon their dogs like this But we’re glad Allie is doing well and can’t wait for her to find her a new home!
