Overview of Arizona EBT Card Balances
The Arizona EBT card is similar to a standard ATM or debit card. Also known as the Arizona QUEST card, each month food stamp benefits are deposited on your Arizona EBT card the same day.
You can access your Arizona EBT Card benefits by 5:00 AM the morning after they are posted to your QUEST Card account.
Benefits may be used to purchase approved food from qualifying retailers. Most grocery stores in Arizona accept QUEST Card as payment.
Arizona Nutrition Assistance Program
Benefits in your name will be transferred to the account. Fidelity Information Services (FIS) will issue a QUEST (Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT)) card.
This card can be used as a debit card to withdraw your cash benefits from ATMs with the QUEST symbol or use your nutrition benefits to purchase food.
You can use your QUEST card to make purchases from select retailers.
Outside of Arizona You are still allowed to use your EBT card. You will be notified to answer questions about using EBT when 10 percent or more of your benefits are spent outside of Arizona for a six-month period.
You are responsible for your use of your EBT card, personal identification number (PIN), and benefits.
Keep your pins private! If your Cash Assistance or Nutrition Assistance account is accessed and used on your card or an alternate EBT holder card, there is no replacement for benefits.
Benefits will not be considered for replacement until confirmed lost or stolen. and is limited to benefits that remain in your Electronic Benefit Transfer account as of the report date.
What is the Arizona Quest Card?
- The Arizona Quest Card is Arizona’s EBT card.
- EBT = Electronic Benefits Transfer
- EBT Card = A card that looks and functions like a debit or credit card. But it’s full of food stamps and/or cash benefits. You can use it at any store that accepts EBT.
- You will receive your Arizona Quest Card once you have been approved for benefits.

Arizona EBT Payment Schedule

Stores that accept EBT online for shipping
As you know The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has started a pilot program. (Online Purchasing Pilot) to allow some grocery stores to begin accepting EBT cards online for grocery purchases. Including delivery service to your doorstep.
The grocery stores listed below have been approved for a pilot project that will offer the ability for EBT cardholders to purchase food online for delivery.
Where can I use my Arizona Ebt card?
You cannot use the Arizona EBT Card in the following locations:
- Casino
- poker room
- card room
- Cigarette and marijuana shops
- adult entertainment business
- Nightclub/living room/tavern
- Tattoo and piercing shop
- Spa/massage shop
- Bingo Hall
- bail bond
- Race track
- Gun/ammo shop
- cruise ship
- psychic reader
Food and products that do not meet the criteria
- Hot food from the deli/meals eaten inside the restaurant
- Vitamins or medicine
- pet food
- Paper or cleaning products
- Alcohol/Tobacco products

How to Check Your Arizona EBT Card Balance
There are three options for checking your Arizona QUEST Card balance. They are here:
Option 1 – Find your most recent purchase receipt.
One of the easiest ways to check your Arizona EBT card balance is to look for a recent purchase receipt or ATM receipt (for TANF recipients only).
You will see the current balance at the bottom of your card receipt. To check your balance using this form Please save all recent Arizona QUEST Card receipts.
Option 2 – Check your QUEST card balance over the phone.
Another option is to test your card balance by calling. 1-888-997-9333 Go to the Arizona EBT QUEST card customer service number to call.
Representatives are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help you get your QUEST card balance back. Make sure your EBT card number, 4-digit PIN, and Social Security Number (SSN) are ready before you call. leave
Enter your sixteen (16) digit EBT card number after you call. You will then hear the current food assistance or cash account balance. To receive information about the balance on the QUEST card, you must provide this information.
Option 3 – Check your QUEST card balance online.
The final option for checking your Arizona QUEST Card balance is online. You can find your EBT card balance online using Arizona. EBT Edge website.
Click the “Cardholder Login” button on the left side of the page when you are on the home page.
Continue accessing your EBT QUEST card balance by entering your user ID and password. When finished, click on the button. “Login”
