

Residents of the southwestern United States have likely heard the roar of these venomous snakes. The vibrating sound of the same name is a highly efficient wα ening signal, sending the ρ‹eɗαto‹ signal away.
Sara Viernum, a zoologist from Madison, Wisconsin, explains, “Rattles are loosely assembled parts of keratin. at the tip of the snake’s tail.”
“These parts tap each other to produce a buzzing sound when the snake holds its tail vertically and vibrates in a rattle.
